Zoo Boo, the annual Halloween fright fest a the Montgomery Zoo is back with fun for all fright levels!

While it has a strong education mission, The Montgomery Zoo also aims to show folks of all ages a wildly good time and hosts several annual events designed to do just that. In conjunction with Halloween, the annual Zoo Boo event takes place on weekend evenings starting in mid-October and always promises plenty of scary (and not-so-scary) thrills.

The Haunted Hayride will have you jumping and screaming as spooky surprises test your nerves, while the kid-friendly Pumpkin Pull is full of ole-fashioned, autumn-themed fun.

There’s also an abundance of Halloween-themed games and crafts like the Eye Ball Drop, Cat Tail Toss, Ghost Spin, the Candy Walk, Witches Broom Race and Swamp Fishing as well as bouncy blow-ups.

And while the majority of the Zoo’s main draw – its amazing exotic animals – have already retired for the evening during Zoo Boo, the Creatures of the Night presentation entertains and informs, featuring an up-close-and-personal look at some of the Zoo’s Education Center animals, like bats and other neat, nocturnal species.
