Hi, my name is Nick Mielke and I was born in Illinois but moved to Selma, Alabama at the age of 10. I am a 38 year old husband and father of 4 (all girls!). I love the outdoors, fun beer, Star Wars, and all other things pop culture. I’ve lived in Montgomery for the last 20 years, a graduate of Huntingdon College, and love seeing this city grow and evolve. By day I work for a local non-profit housing agency and the rest of my time is spent exploring, writing, DIY’ing, and being surrounded by strong amazing women and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Wendi Lohr Lewis is a writer living in Montgomery, Alabama. Since February 2008 she has been employed as a writer and editor at Beasley Allen Law Firm, where she is currently Communications Director. Wendi’s writing background includes experience at daily and weekly newspapers, as well as corporate communications and travel/tourism writing and marketing.

She is author of Montgomery: At the Forefront of a New Century, a coffee-table book about her hometown, published in 1996 by Community Communications. Wendi makes her home in Montgomery with her husband, Eric, and their menagerie, three cats – Ico, Tito and Groucho – and a dog, Reef.

Hi, I’m Joyce Vaughn. I’m 30 years old and the youngest of four siblings. I like Rocky Road ice cream and karaoke. But, professionally I’m a digital marketing nerd. That means that I spend a lot of time studying and applying innovative tactics on social media and other digital marketing platforms. I’m a proud graduate of the University of Montevallo. There I received a Bachelors of Science degree in retail merchandising with a minor in business.

And, in 2014 I earned my Masters in business administration from Auburn University at Montgomery. I enjoy trailing a good story and sharing the narratives of the people around me. As a South-Carolina-born-and-Alabama-raised southerner, I’ve come to enjoy and love my MGM.
