Billed as the launch that will ignite dreams, the soft opening of the new non-profit Village CoLab space, located on the 3rd floor of One Court Square is open to the public this Friday from 5 – 9 p.m.
The Non-Profit, Village CoLab, envisions a thriving arts scene through creatives working closely together in a collaborative environment in the public eye.
The launch will run in conjunction with the I Am More Than Art on the Square event. A
highlight of the evening will be the opening of local artist Vincent Buwalda’s exhibit; A Retrospective Exhibition Covering Work from 1987 to the Present, featuring works ranging from kinetic music maker sculptures, to op-art paintings. The reception is co-hosted by Village CoLab and Village Gallery.
Montgomery’s Blue Yonder will celebrate the launch of their first digital album release with a live performace. Blue Yonder is Beth and Johnny Veres, Andrew Mohney, and Joseph Johnson, who describe their music as having “roots in folk, Americana, and a touch of country,” with parlor-style picking, and everyone pitching in on eerie and harmonious vocals.
